Gerard Pique has called for patience from supporters after another horrible Barcelona display against Slavia Prague on Tuesday in the Champions League.

Ernesto Valverde’s side followed up the weekend’s dismal defeat at Levante with another less than impressive performance against the Czech champions.

Pique, who picked up his ninth booking of the season during the match, offered his thoughts afterwards and says the team are trying to find answers to their poor form.

“I would ask for a little patience. I know the fans want more, we understand that, but we’re working hard to find the solutions. Not so much in terms of results, but in terms of how we’re playing.

“There have been times when we’ve not looked good in the past and we’ve ended up winning trophies. With Luis Enrique it looked like things weren’t working for the first six months and then we won the treble.”

Barcelona’s next fixture is at home to Celta Vigo on Saturday. La Liga then pauses for an international break which saves us all having to watch this shambles for a week or two.
