Trincão wins Player of the Month award

The youngster will arrive at Camp Nou in the summer

Francisco Trincão, who will join Barcelona in the summer from Braga, has been named the Primeira Liga Player of the Month for January.

The 20-year-old scooped the award for the first time in his career after beating off competitions from Benfica’s Franco Cervi and Porto’s Jesus Manuel Corona.

Trincao featured in all of Braga’s four league wins in January, scoring in the 7-1 victory over Belenenses and in the 2-1 victory against Moreirense.

He also continued that form in February, scoring the winner against Sporting, with his fourth goal from his last eight outings.

Barcelona announced at the end of January that Trincao will join the club in July for a fee of €31 million on a five-year-deal with a €500 million buy-out clause.
