FC Barcelona and the Premier League club have reached terms for the Cameroonian midfielder to remain on loan for the 2015/16 season.

Alex Song arrived at Camp Nou in the summer of 2012 from Arsenal to bolster the Club’s options in midfield. The Cameroonian joined Tito Vilanova’s squad and played a total of 34 official matches, 20 of which came in the record breaking league title campaign. His first and only goal for the blaugranes came on 17 November 2012 in a 3-1 win over Zaragoza at Camp Nou.

In his second season at the Club under coach Gerardo Martino, Song played a total of 31 matches. The arrival of Luis Enrique saw the midfielder move on loan to Premier League club West Ham United, where he will remain for another season, after having played 65 times in official competition for Barça.
