Barcelona announce squad list for Round 4 of Liga BBVA; Alves returns

The next Barcelona match is upon us! The only team to have won every game in La Liga this season returns to Camp Nou looking for a fourth victory in a row in the Spanish League against relegation candidates Levante, and coach Luis Enrique has already picked his squad for the game.

All the injuries over the last few weeks have given us plenty of bad news, but for this Sunday an important player makes his comeback: star full-back Dani Alves is on the squad and is set to make his first start in a month. He injured his groin in the league opener at Athletic Bilbao and hasn't featured since. His return alone adds important depth to the squad, since Lucho can now use players in different positions.

Gerard Piqué is set for the fourth and final game of his suspension, and will sit out for the last time. Claudio Bravo and Thomas Vermaelen are a few weeks away from their return, while Rafinha Alcântara is likely out for the season. Douglas Pereira trained with the squad, but wasn't medically cleared and is also not in uniform on Sunday evening. To complete the squad, Enrique called up Gerard Gumbau from Barça B.

These are the eighteen men named by Lucho for tonight:

Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 25. Jordi Masip.

Defenders: 6. Dani Alves, 14. Javier Mascherano, 15. Marc Bartra, 18. Jordi Alba, 21. Adriano Correia, 24. Jérémy Mathieu

Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 8. Andrés Iniesta, 20. Sergi Roberto, 28. Gerard Gumbau

Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Neymar Jr., 17. Munir El-Haddadi, 19. Sandro Ramírez

Projected Starting Lineup (4-3-3):

Ter Stegen; Alves, Bartra, Mathieu, Adriano; Mascherano, Rakitic, Sergi Roberto; Messi, Suárez, Neymar

Bench: Masip, Alba, Gumbau, Busquets, Iniesta, Munir, Sandro
