FC Barcelona's win over Las Palmas by the numbers

Luis Suárez scored both of FC Barcelona’s goals against Las Palmas on Saturday to secure the team’s fifth league win of the campaign. Here is a collection of facts and figures from the narrow victory in Week 6 of La Liga.

- Taking place at a less than usual time of 4pm CET, a total of 74,196 supporters attended the match to witness Barça’s latest win.


- Marc Bartra completed the most passes (93), followed by Javier Mascherano (90) and Sergi Roberto (82). For the visitors, David Simón managed 39.


 - Barça attempted 646 passes, 557 of which were successful while Las Palmas completed 237 of their 326.


- Sergio Roberto attempted the most crosses into the box (5). Featuring once again at full-back, he was involved in 55 moves.


- Suárez and Neymar Jr. attempted five shots on the opposition goal. Jonathan Viera was Las Palmas' most active forward as he too struck five times towards the Barça end.


 - Suárez's first of two goals on minute 24 was Barça's first goal of the league season in the first half.


 - The Uruguayan has now scored 30 goals for the club, and his brace on Saturday was his sixth in Barça colours.


 - The win over Las Palmas was the first time Gerard Piqué and Marc Bartra paired up in the centre of defence this season. Mascherano played slightly further forward in the defensive midfield position.


 - After his injury, Leo Messi is likely to be out for seven to eight weeks. The Argentine has not missed a game through injury since 10 November 2013.
