FC Barcelona B scored their first victory of the season on Sunday afternoon, beating Olot 1–0 thanks to a direct free kick from forward Maxi Rolón in the 76th minute. An outstanding performance by Barça B goalkeeper Adrián Ortolá, especially in the final minutes, allowed the Catalans to hang on and chalk up their first points of the season.

Ortolá also had a huge impact early on, thwarting multiple scoring chances by the hosts before the game was even ten minutes old. He then made back-to-back stops just before halftime to preserve the scoreless deadlock. Barça B had their chances to score in the first half as well but couldn't break through until Rolón's shot pierced the net in the upper corner less than a quarter-hour from time.
