"The win is important, but certainly the worst news is the injury to our best player," declared FC Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets as he left the dressing room. The injury to Messi, who will be seven to eight weeks, was the first thing on everyone's mind. "We're having bad luck with injuries, and still can't register players," he added.

As for the Saturday's 2–1 victory over Las Palmas at Camp Nou, Busquets was already turning the page. "The win is important and on Tuesday we have to come out and win a Champions League match."

Defender Marc Bartra, who started on Saturday, also spoke to the media after the game and said that the team had to come together as a unit. "After losing [on Wednesday] it was important to get the three points," Bartra said, before adding, "We the game under control for the most part, it was just a shame that we couldn't put it away and ended up conceding the goal." But Messi was clearly in the back of Bartra's mind. "We wish him speedy recovery."

Bartra also wanted to congratulate teammate Sergi Roberto, who also started. "I'm very happy for him, he's giving us a lot on the wing. He never turns the ball over, he passes very well and he's taking advantage of regular playing time."
