From Barça's first victory on the Manzanares to last season's La Liga title, we take a look back at some of the team's best performances at Atlético Madrid

1) Zaballa gives Barça maiden win

On November 1, 1966, FC Barcelona played for the first time at the Estadio Manzanares — now called the Vicente Calderón — in a league game. Winger Pedro Zaballa scored Barça's first ever goal at Atlético Madrid's new home, giving Barça their first ever victory there, 1–0.

2) Ronaldo's big day

Despite playing just one season at FC Barcelona (1996/97), Ronaldo Luis Nazário da Lima left a big legacy at Barça. One of his most brilliant performances was in that season's league match at the Vicente Calderón, where the Brazilian star scored a hat-trick in a 5–2 blaugrana victory.

3) Rivaldo's riveting goal

On 10 May 1998, in the penultimate matchday of the season, Rivaldo scored one of his best goals a a Barça player, surprising the Calderón with a strike from midfield. Although the goal put Barça up 1–0, Atlético ended up winning 5–2.

4) The 6–0 rout

On 20 May 2007, also in the final stages of the season, FC Barcelona got their biggest victory ever at the Calderón — a 6–0 triumph. Messi scored twice, while Zambrotta, Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Iniesta chipped in with one apiece.

5) Ronaldinho's bicycle kick

One season later, on 1 March 2008, Ronaldinho scored his last goal in the Calderón with FC Barcelona. It was a true work of art, a bicycle kick that Abbiati couldn't stop. But just like the day that Rivaldo scored, the goal opened the scoring in a game that Barça lost, this time 4–2.

6) Hat trick and ovation for Messi

Lionel Messi's first road hat trick came at the Calderón, precisely on 6 January 2009, in the first leg of the Copa del Rey last 16. His three goals gave Barça the victory and had the Calderón giving the Argentinian a standing ovation.

7) Guardiola's last title as Barça coach

Pep Guardiola won the last title of his stint as a Barça's head coach in the 2012 Copa del Rey Final played at the Vicente Calderón against Athletic Club Bilbao. Pedro, with a brace, and Messi were the scorers in a convincing 3–0 triumph.

8) Homage in 2013

Two years ago FC Barcelona visited the Calderón under very special circumstances. The day before Real Madrid had failed to beat Espanyol, which mathematically secured the title for the Catalans. Accordingly, Barça were applauded onto the pitch by Atlético prior to their match. The game finished with Barça winning 2–1.

9) Neymar's first goal

Neymar scored his first official goal for FC Barcelona in the first leg of the 2013 Spanish Super Cup played at the Vicente Calderón, which ended in a 1–1 draw. With Barça trailing 1–0 after 65 minutes, Neymar finished a cross from Dani Alves.

10) La Liga champs

FC Barcelona mathematically clinched the 2014/15 La Liga with a 1–0 win on a goal by Leo Messi. The final whistle unleashed a certain euphoria among the players and coaching staff, who achieved their first title of the season en route to an unprecedented second treble.
