FC Barcelona U19 A dug deep to earn an important win on one of the Division of Honour’s tougher grounds. Away to Cornellà, Gabri’s side were trailing at half-time but a much-improved second-half performance saw the Barça youngsters turn the game around with goals from Chumi, Carbonell and Tajti to maintain top spot in the league.
U19 B also win
Meanwhile, the U19 B team overcame their latest challenge with a little more comfort. Quique Álvarez’s side earned a convincing 3-0 win at home to Gironès-Sabat. Goals from Monchu and Mboula gave Barça a sizeable advantage going into the half-time break and despite missing a number of clear chances, Oriol Rey sealed the win with an injury-time penalty.
