Rumors: New deal for Umtiti, Inter close to Rafinha, Napoli back in for Deulofeu plus Vidal latest

Umtiti set for new and improved deal

Today’s rumors start with the rather overdue news that Barcelona have finally got around to telling Samuel Umtiti they want to hand him a new and improved deal.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona plan to sort out Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto’s renewals first and will then turn their attention to Umtiti.

Umtiti is in no hurry to renew, but he’s also not interested in listening to offers from other clubs, so will wait until the end of the season for talks.

Vidal to the Premier League?

Aleix Vidal’s agent is apparently in talks with clubs from Manchester and Liverpool, according to Estadio Deportivo.

Vidal has been linked with a move to Sevilla but Barca want a permanent deal and at the moment that does not look like happening.

Instead, the Premier League could be an option although the report does not specify which clubs out of Manchester United, City, Liverpool or Everton, Vidal’s agent is talking to.

Inter closing in on Rafinha

Inter Milan are closing in on a move for Rafinha with director Piero Ausilio in Barcelona to discuss terms, according to Goal.

Barca have come around to the idea of letting Rafinha leave on loan but with a purchase option.

Napoli back in for Deulofeu

And finally today, we end with news that Napoli are back in for Gerard Deulofeu after missing out on Bologna’s Simone Verdi, according to Sport.

Napoli also fancy a loan with an option to buy but Barca want that option to buy to be compulsory for a fee of €20 million.

The Serie A side don’t fancy that too much, although they would be willing to splash the cash if Deulofeu impresses during his time in Italy.
