Rumors: Cillessen, Florenzi, Lucho and Umtiti
Bayern want Cillessen
Today’s rumors start with Jasper Cillessen and news that Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Barcelona’s back-up goalkeeper.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the German giants have been watching the Dutchman in his Copa del Rey outings.
Apparently Bayern would prefer Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but have been put off by his release clause and the fact he is happy at Barca and does not want to leave.
Barcelona fancy Florenzi
Over in Italy, the word is that Barcelona are one of several clubs interested in Roma full-back Alessandro Florenzi.
Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United are also admirers of the Italy international, but Barca can now be added to that list, so say Il Corriere (via Football Espana).
Florenzi only has a year of his current contract left to run although Roma are considering a new deal with a big fat pay rise, although that may depend on the club meeting Financial Fair Play requirements.
Luis Enrique to Arsenal?
The rumors surrounding Luis Enrique’s future continue with news that Arsenal could also be a possible destination for the former Barca coach.
The Spaniard has emerged as the favourite to replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea, and is said to really quite fancy managing in the Premier League.
And according to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal are also a possible destination, should Arsene Wenger depart in the summer.
Chelsea plan to make huge offer to Umtiti
And finally today we couldn’t resist a quick look at the always entertaining Don Balon, and they reckon that Chelsea are planning to make Samuel Umtiti a huge offer.
The Blues are ready to offer the centre-back a deal that would triple his wages and Umtiti is aware of the interest as he begins contract renewal talks with Chelsea.
There report also mentions Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain and speculates how he could be hot property in the summer if he stars at the World Cup.
