Lionel Messi and six others nominated for UEFA Team of the Year (VOTE NOW)

Seven FC Barcelona players have been nominated for the UEFA Team of the Year. Lionel Messi, Marc-André ter Stegen, Samuel Umtiti, Gerard Piqué, Jordi Alba, Luis Suárez and Ivan Rakitić are all on the short list.
Meanwhile, eight Real Madrid players made the shortlist. Keylor Navas, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Raphaël Varane, Casemiro, Isco Alarcón, Toni Kroos, Luka Modrić, and Gareth Bale were nominated. Cristiano Ronaldo was nominated in part for his work as a Madrid player, so it could be counted as nine.
Atlético Madrid’s Jan Oblak, José María Giménez, Diego Godín, Lucas Hernandez, Saúl Ñíguez, and Antoine Griezmann were also nominated, for a total of 6 from the colchoneros.
