Messi says Barcelona need Dembele after Espanyol win

Both players scored in the 4-0 victory

Lionel Messi may have stolen all the headlines with his performance against Espanyol on Sunday, but it was also another great display by Ousmane Dembele.

The Frenchman scored Barcelona’s second of the night and also picked up an assist, as he set up Luis Suarez for the visitors’ third goal.

Messi assisted Dembele for his goal with some brilliant dribbling and praised his team-mate after the match.

“He’s very good,” he said.

“He wants to play, he had a good game, scored a goal and was important. We need him.”
