Arthur hits new heights for Barca against Lyon
The midfielder is loving life in Europe
Arthur’s brilliant first season at Barcelona continued on Wednesday night as he put in another superb performance against Lyon in the Champions League.
The Brazilian was making just his sixth appearance in Europe’s top competition but played a key role as Barcelona booked their place in the quarter-finals.
Arthur was heavily involved in the second goal, picking out Luis Suarez with a gorgeous pass for the Uruguayan to set up Philippe Coutinho.
He also saw more of the ball than any other player in the first 45 minutes at the Camp Nou:
Arthur completed 50 passes in the first half vs. Lyon, 11 more than any other player on the pitch.

Arthur continued where he left off in the second half. He was replaced on 74 minutes by Arturo Vidal but departed the pitch having only put one pass astray. ONE.
98.6% - Arthur Melo completed 98.6% of his passes against Lyon (71/72), his best passing accuracy in a game for @FCBarcelona in all competitions. Calm. pic.twitter.com/XBwEbsDmGY

Arthur has proved to be the perfect fit for Barca since joining from Gremio, as many expected, and the exciting thing is that he’s only going to get better and better.
