Valverde happy with Todibo, Wague and Puig after Huesca draw

The Barcelona youngsters all featured on Saturday

Ernesto Valverde seemed pretty happy with youngsters Jean-Clair Todibo, Moussa Wague and Riqui Puig after Saturday’s La Liga draw with Huesca.

The Barcelona boss made plenty of changes to his team, with one eye on Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final against Manchester United, and saw his team pick up a clean sheet and a point.

“The three players grew into the game,” he said.

“They started a bit nervously due to it being their debut, due to the responsibility.

“Todibo is so fast going forward and in his challenges, even if logically he can still improve.

”Wague and Riqui did great work as well, so we have to be happy.”

Todibo and Wague both made their first-team debuts for Barcelona against Huesca, while Puig was making his first appearance in La Liga. Hopefully we should see plenty more of them in the future.
