Rakitic says he ‘would love’ Griezmann at Barca
The Atletico Madrid star has been linked with a move
Ivan Rakitic has been talking about a potential Barcelona move for Antoine Griezmann and says he would love to have the Atletico Madrid star at the Camp Nou.
Griezmann has already announced his plans to leave Diego Simeone’s side this summer and has been heavily linked with a move to Barca.
The Croatian was asked about the possibility of Griezmann joining Barca, particularly after his infamous ‘La Decision’ documentary, in an interview with Mundo Deportivo and was happy to give his view.
“Of course. I like him a lot. Leaving aside the fact that last summer he took my dream (winning the World Cup) and then I felt pretty bad (laughs). But he is a top level player, world class, and of course I would love him to play on my team. He is a great professional who has won almost everything and that can surely add to any team.”

Rakitic’s words are in stark contrast to recent reports that have suggested the Barcelona dressing room are against the signing of Griezmann after his decision to snub the club last summer.
Meanwhile, the midfielder also reiterated his desire to stay at Barcelona, despite rumors of interest from Inter Milan and Manchester United, and said he’s not worried about the arrival of Frenkie de Jong because they play in different positions.
