Xavi: Messi has ‘three or four good years left’ at Barca
The club legend has been talking about the GOAT
Xavi has been talking about Lionel Messi and says the Barcelona captain still has at least “three or for good years left” to win more silverware at the Camp Nou.
The Argentinian will celebrate his 32nd birthday in June but has shown no signs of slowing down this season, scoring 50 goals in all competitions with the Copa del Rey final still to come.
There has already been plenty of talk about how Barcelona will cope once Messi opts to hang up his boots, but Xavi says the GOAT still has plenty of time left at the very top.
“We always talk about the post-Messi era, but Leo has three or four good years left. At the top level, like now, because he looks after himself, he’s incredibly professional, he’s physically strong, a beast mentally. He’s the No 1 at everything.”

Xavi was also asked if Barcelona ought to have won more Champions League titles during the Messi-era and had an optimistic message for the future: “be calm, Messi’s not finished yet.”
