Barcelona have made their decision regarding Neymar - report

Bartomeu will lead negotiations for the Catalans

FC Barcelona have made a decision regarding the Neymar case: they’re going for it, according to Catalunya Ràdio.

Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu will head the operation and negotiate directly with Paris Saint-Germain’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi for the return of the player.

Barça are proposing a swap deal, but PSG are interested in cash, according to the report. It also details a key component of the strategy for the Catalans is the player himself.

Neymar has privately pushed for a move, according to rumors, and openly dropped a hint recently by saying his best moment as a footballer was eliminating PSG as a Barcelona player. Earlier reports said Barcelona want Neymar to make a public plea to help push the move forward.

The Brazilian forward reportedly met with PSG’s staff to outline his position, in a meeting described as “tense” by sources. For the moment, Neymar is said to be convinced that he will not play again in Paris, but the French club has not yet given him an easy way out.

Paris United reports that PSG’s sporting director, Leonardo, told Neymar that the club’s position was that he would only be able to leave if Barcelona met certain “financial conditions.”
