Barça are interested in a swap deal only, making the transfer more and more remote

FC Barcelona do not want to pay “a single euro” to bring Neymar back from Paris Saint-Germain, and instead will only offer players in a swap deal, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalans have already spent a lot of money in bringing Antoine Griezmann, Frenkie de Jong, and Neto this summer and are reportedly unwilling to spend the king’s ransom that PSG demands.

Rumors say that Barça are offering Philippe Coutinho, plus one of Ivan Rakitić, Samuel Umtiti, or Ousmane Dembélé. However, some outlets report that the latter is not on the table.

MD tells us that Barça do not for the moment consider including Dembélé, but it’s thought that it’s a card the club could use in negotiations.

It seems PSG do not consider Barcelona’s player exchange proposals a good deal. Therefore, if neither side changes their stance, the transfer seems almost impossible. However, negotiations are thought to continue, and many things could change, particularly if the Neymar-PSG relationship continues to deteriorate.
