The Brazilian was linked with a Camp Nou return

Former Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has been talking about the Neymar transfer saga and believes most Barcelona fans did not want the Brazilian back at the club.

The Brazilian was linked with a Camp Nou return all summer but a move failed to materialise and he wil now stay at PSG at least until January.

Del Bosque said Neymar’s return to La Liga would have been a good thing for the Spanish top flight but also said he would not sign the Brazilian if he were a manager.

“I think it would have been good for LaLiga if he came, but if I were a club, I wouldn’t sign him,” he said.

”Just like I say he’s a wonderful player, I don’t like him for other things [he gets up to].

”With Barcelona, they had to regulate his behaviour [during his time at the club]. If you did a survey amongst Barcelona’s supporters, there would surely be more than 50 percent reluctant to see him come back.”

Speculation persists that Neymar will leave PSG for Barcelona and could seal a move in 2020 either when the window opens in January or next summer.
