The latest look at the players on international duty

Tuesday brought the latest round of international fixtures for Barcelona’s stars with Arturo Vidal, Ansu Fati and Sergio Busquets all in action (well kind of) for their national teams.

First up was Vidal who scored in Chile’s 3-2 friendly win over Guinea at the Estadio José Rico Pérez in Alicante.

An exciting game saw Guinea take the lead through Ibrahima Conte, but Chile hit back through Felipe Mora.

Vidal slotted home a penalty on 74 minutes to make it 3-1, and although Guinea pulled one back through Ibrahima Camara they held on for the win.

Ansu Fati started on the bench after being called into the Spain Under-21 squad for the first time for their Euro 2020 qualifier in Montenegro.

Aitor Buñuel headed Spain in front in the first half, while Marc Cucurella slotted home the visitors’ second after the break.

Ansu arrived as a substitute deep in the second half for his debut with 12 minutes left to play. His arrival saw him become the second youngest player to debut for Spain Under-21s.

He made an impact on the game too in his brief time on the pitch, being denied a penalty and then forcing the goalkeeper into a save in stoppage time.

Sergio Busquets was also left on the bench for Spain’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Sweden, meaning there was no Barcelona player in Robert Moreno’s starting XI.

Spain started strongly but needed two good saves from David De Gea to keep it goalless going into the break.

La Roja then fell behind at the start of the second half when Marcus Berg headed in after a couple more stops from De Gea.

The Manchester United goalkeeper was then forced off with injury and replaced by Kepa, but Spain managed to equalise through Rodrigo Moreno in stoppage time.

Busquets did not make it off the bench during the match, but the draw is enough to secure qualification to Euro 2020 for Spain.
