The left-back has been talking about life at the Camp Nou

Junior Firpo has been talking about his situation at Barcelona and says he’s not worried about his lack of game time and knew what to expect when he signed for the club.

The left-back has often been overlooked this season when Jordi Alba has been out but was back in the starting XI for Saturday’s 4-1 win over Celta Vigo.

Firpo had a decent outing against Oscar Garcia’s side, winning the penalty for the opener, and opened up on life at his new club after the match.

“I’m not worried about my situation, I’ve not been here long and I think everyone needs time to adapt. All players are selfish and of course I’d like to play more. It was hard not to play against Levante but in the end I have to respect the decision of the coach.

”We’d all like regular games but when I came I knew what I was in for. I don’t like not being in the squad but I understand that the full-back who doesn’t play sits in the stands. I’ll keep working and I’m ready.”

The 23-year-old will be hoping for more game time after the international break. Reportave have claimed Jordi Alba is out for a month and may not be available until December.
