The Dutch coach is not ruling anything out

Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman has been talking about the possibility of taking over at Barcelona at some point in the future once again.

It’s not the first time that Koeman has spoken about the Catalan giants. He opened up about the release clause in his contract that allows him to leave for Barcelona last month.

Koeman now says his focus is fully on the Netherlands and next summer’s European Championship but did add the old “you never know what can happen” line.

“I am the coach of the Netherlands, I have to prepare for the Euro, but in life you never know what can happen,” he said.

“I have two more years left on my contract with the national team and I do not like to talk about Barcelona.

”It’s uncomfortable for a lot of reasons; I currently have a job and it’s not fair to talk about this.

“If they come, they come; and if they don’t, they don’t. There are more important things [to worry about] in life. Anything can happen.”

Barcelona have won their last three games in a row to top La Liga and their Champions League group which has quietened talk about Ernesto Valverde’s future a little, although it would only take one bad result for the rumor mill to go into overdrive once more.
