Pep’s dad says he could return to Barcelona
He could head back to the Camp Nou to coach
Pep Guardiola’s dad, Valenti, reckons that the Manchester City manager could return to Barcelona to coach at some point in the future.
The 48-year-old is contracted to the Citizens until 2021 but has said recently he’s open to extending his stay with the Premier League champions.
Guardiola was named the Catalan FA’s coach of the year on Tuesday but could not attend the event, leaving Valenti to collect the award on his behalf and field questions on his future.
”It could be a yes, that he returns to Barcelona, but it would be to coach. Since he left home, he has always made his own decisions. I’ve never advised him.”

Pep famously spent four years in charge of Barca and won La Liga three times and the Champions League twice before taking a break from football. He’s spoken about coming home before and hinted he’d like to work with the youth teams at Barca.
