The goalkeeper would receive the treatment at the end of the season

Marc-AndrĂ© ter Stegen has been struggling with tendinitis, a pain in a tendon in his knee, and could require surgery, according to Diario SPORT. The goalkeeper is a doubt for Barcelona’s games to start the new year, and if the pain does not go away, he may be forced to visit the surgeon.

However, such an operation would be done after Euro 2020; that is, after the conclusion of Barcelona’s season. At the moment it is said that he is undergoing a conservative treatment to keep him healthy.

Both the player and Barcelona’s medical staff have seemingly agreed on this conservative treatment, and the hope is that the pain will eventually go away without the need of surgery.
