Todibo close to joining Schalke on loan

He will spend the rest of the campaign in the Bundesliga

Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo is on the verge of joining Bundesliga side Schalke on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old was spotted at Düsseldorf airport being met by a Schalke representative and will have a medical at the club on Monday.

Schalke sporting director Jochen Schneider told Bild that he is “optimistic” the transfer will “take place in a timely manner.”

Todibo is expected to join on loan until the end of the season, although there still seems to be a bit of debate about whether it will include a purchase option or not.
