Bayern boss ‘can’t say’ if Coutinho will stay
The Brazilian is on loan from Barcelona
Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick was asked about Philippe Coutinho ahead of the return of the Bundesliga this weekend and says he “can’t say” if he’ll stay at the club.
The Brazilian is coming towards the end of his loan spell with the Bundesliga giants, but it seems highly unlikely they will activate the €120 million purchase option in his contract.
Flick was giving little away when asked about the Brazilian, who is currently sidelined after undergoing ankle surgery.
“I can’t say what will happen with him after the season,” he said.
“Philippe is a good guy and an excellent footballer. I really enjoy working with him.
“We hope he can be back with us again soon and play some games before the end of the season.”

There have been reports that Coutinho could miss the next six weeks due to his ankle problem, which means he may have already played his last game for Bayern.
The Brazilian has made 32 appearances for the Bundesliga champions in 2019-20, contributing nine goals and eight assists in all competitions.
