Barcelona’s players out on loan may be sold in order to raise funds

FC Barcelona’s players out on loan could be sold in order to raise transfer funds and pay players’ salary according to a new report.

Philippe Coutinho, Carles Aleñá, Jean-Clair Todibo, Rafinha, and Marc Cucurella are the names mentioned in the new report, although there are players that are out on loan and not mentioned, such as Juan Miranda.

Coutinho is the most famous case, and it is said that it is almost certain the player will not be bought by Bayern Munich. Instead, he will either return to Barcelona or be sold to a buyer with deep pockets, perhaps in the Premier League.

Aleñá will be returned to the Catalans according to the current plan, as Real Betis has no option to buy. However, a new deal could be struck in which Betis does purchase him, something the player himself has not ruled out.

Todibo is on loan to Schalke 04, who have an option to buy him at 25 million euro, although it is rumored they will not use it. He will then be in the open market, with many teams hoping to secure his services.

Rafinha, on loan to Celta Vigo, could move to Serie A.

Finally, Cucurella, who is loan to Getafe, is expected to be bought by the Madrid-based club for six million.
