De Jong: Luis Suarez is the best No. 9 around
The midfielder is happy to see the striker back to full fitness
Frenkie de Jong has been full of praise for Luis Suarez ahead of Saturday’s clash against Real Mallorca and thinks he’s the best No. 9 around.
Suarez has made a quick recovery from knee surgery and looks set to play a key role in Barcelona’s last 11 games.
De Jong is glad to see Suarez back to full fitness and says he’s been looking good in training ahead of the game.
“I’m so happy he [Suarez] is back and I have to say in training he looks sharp, his movement has been great. To me, he looks more than ready to play.
“Under-appreciated, yes, I think so. If you look at his statistics, he is maybe the best number nine there is.
“Look at his goals, his assists, he definitely gets the credit from me. For me, there’s no debate about him. He can contribute a lot to us and the team will be better with him in it.”

Suarez is expected to start on Saturday, although Quique Setien has said he’s unlikely to play the Uruguayan for 90 minutes after such a long lay-off.
