The Barcelona boss has come under fire

Antoine Griezmann’s family have taken aim at Barcelona boss Quique Setien after the Frenchman was only a late substitute against Atletico Madrid.

The summer signing only appeared for the final few minutes against his former team in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou.

Brother Theo Griezmann tweeted during the match: “I feel like crying, seriously” and then added, in relation to the amount of time the striker spent on the pitch, “two minutes....”

Unsurprisingly his series of tweets were quickly deleted.

Griezmann’s dad Alain then joined in.

In response to quotes from Setien explaining why he hadn’t brought Griezmann on earlier he wrote on Instagram: “In order to apologise you first need the keys of the lorry and that is not the case, because he is simply a passenger.”

His post was also subsequently deleted.

As for Setien, he said after the match that “it’s difficult” to put Griezmann on “without destabilising the team.” He also added he wouldn’t apologise to Griezmann for bringing him on in the 90th minute but realised he “may feel bad.”
