Fabio Capello has warned Barcelona that Napoli could knock them out if they are not careful. The two sides will meet at the Camp Nou next month, to resolve the tie after a 1-1 draw in the first leg before the coronavirus break.

“Napoli is a very well organized team, and I think they can put the blaugrana in serious difficulties,” the former Milan, Real Madrid, Roma, Juventus, England, and Russia coach said.

“I hope that Napoli maintain a strong level and good form in the next few weeks.”

Since the break, Napoli have only lost once - against Atalanta. They also drew against AC Milan, but otherwise have won every other match. That’s 4 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss, a very good run of results.

“Barça right now is a team immersed in great problems, most of all, when they need to defend.”

Capello also noted that Juventus, despite looking likely to win the Serie A title, are in “worrying” form and sometimes seem to have hit a mental block. Still, he said his former team were likely to knock out Olympique Lyonnais in their tie, despite losing the first leg 1-0.

The French league was cancelled early due to coronavirus, meaning Lyon could be rusty when playing the Champions League.

“They will not be at 100%,” Capello insisted.
