A look at the top headlines

Samuel Umtiti is making headlines on Tuesday with a report that Barcelona are keen to sell the French centre-back this summer.

Sport report that the club want to bring in a new top-level defender and to do that means waving goodbye to the 26-year-old.

Barca are even willing to send Umtiti out on loan and have already had plenty of interest in the World Cup winner from clubs in Italy.

Barca are hoping to have Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet, Ronald Araujo and Eric Garcia as their centre-backs next season, although Umtiti is said to be reluctant to leave.

There are no offers yet but Napoli, Lazio, Roma and Torino are said to be keen, while Barca think that Serie A could be a good destination because there are less physical demands on centre-backs.

Over at Mundo Deportivo the talk is still about Lautaro Martinez and a report on how the club are planning to land the striker from Inter

Lautaro remains the club’s priority and is willing to try and force the move if necessary by telling Inter he wants to go to Barcelona.

The club are also planning to raise cash by selling players such as Jean-Clair Todibo, Rafinha, Ivan Rakitic, Neto, Moussa Wague, Umtiti and Arturo Vidal.

MD also reckon that Inter would be willing to accept Barca’s offer of €70m plus Junior Firpo, valued at €41m, for Lautaro.
