Barca turn Arthur away from Camp Nou ahead of Napoli clash - report

The midfielder was told to go home

Barcelona reportedly turned Arthur away from the Camp Nou on Saturday night ahead of their Champions League clash with Napoli.

The midfielder has returned from Brazil and wanted to support the team in their last-16 clash against Gennaro Gattuso’s told but was told to go home, according to reports.

Cat Radio report Arthur was turned away for safety reasons because the club do not yet have the results of the coronavirus test he took on Friday.

Over at Sport the word is that Arthur has tested negative but was refused entry to the Camp Nou because access to the ground is limited and he was not on the accredited list.

The 23-year-old is back in Barcelona for talks with Eric Abidal after failing to report for training and refusing to play for the club again before his move to Juventus.

Arthur is due to arrive in Turin at the end of the campaign and will be working under new manager Andrea Pirlo who replaced Maurizio Sarri on Saturday.
