Barca won’t pay more than €15m for Garcia - report
The club have set a limit
Barcelona remain keen to bring Eric Garcia back from Manchester City this summer but are reportedly unwilling to pay more than €15 million for the defender.
According to ESPN, Barca will try to land Garcia after the conclusion of the Champions League but know it might be a tricky deal to complete this summer.
Man City are said to value Garcia at €30m even though he is heading into the final year of his current deal and does not want to renew with Pep Guardiola’s side.
Meanwhile, Barca need to sell to raise some funds and also make some space in the squad by offloading Jean-Clair Todibo and Samuel Umtiti.
The report suggests Barca haven’t yet been in touch with City about Garcia but have been “speaking to those closest to the player for months.”
If Barca can’t agree a price with Manchester City then they are said to be willing to wait until January when they can agree a pre-contract with the 19-year-old.
