Busquets talks Quique, Arthur
The midfielder is suspended for the Napoli clash but still gave his two cents on a few big issues
Sergio Busquets will not be available for Barcelona’s Champions League match against Napoli due to suspension, but the midfielder still has an important voice and was asked about a couple of big issues going on at the club.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Busquets was asked about Quique Setién’s job status and whether or not he wants the coach to continue next season. Busi also commented on Arthur Melo who is destined for an ugly breakup with Barça after his sale to Juventus was confirmed.
“[On Setién] It’s a decision for the club, it’s nothing to do with the players, we’re just focused on what happens on the pitch. But if Setien continues, it will be a good sign, because that would mean that we’ve done well in the Champions League or won it.
“[On Arthur] It was a surprise for everyone, but only he and the club know the truth. For the good of everyone, I hope there’s an agreement and no more noise.”

Nothing shocking from Busquets here as expected, but it is interesting how he admits Setién’s job is very much dependent on Champions League success. If they don’t win or at least go out playing really well, it’s impossible to see Quique staying and one of the dressing room leaders knows it.
