The keeper is on the mend
Marc-André ter Stegen’s knee surgery went well, meaning that while the German keeper is expected to be out, he will be able to make a full recovery.
The player had the procedure as a preventative measure, to “clean up” damage to his tendon and avoid further complications. He decided to wait until the season was over to get it done, to limit the amount of games he’d miss.
He will be out about two and a half months, and it’s not known who will be the starting keeper for Barcelona when the season starts back up. Neto could be called upon, but he is rumored to be on the transfer list.
Iñaki Peña could be next on the list, or perhaps there will be another backup keeper signed by then.
