Jorge Messi’s latest comment has prompted excitement

Lionel Messi’s father continues to make headlines as speculation over his son’s future at Barcelona continues to swirl.

Deportes Cuatro, who managed to grab a few words with Messi Sr yesterday, have got all excited about the latest development.

They say they have spoken exclusively to Jorge and been told Messi is considering seeing out his contract at the Camp Nou.

However, it’s also possible they have gotten a little carried away in all the excitement:

Jorge Messi met with Barcelona for talks on Wednesday where it seems little progress was made, with both clubs unwilling to shift their position.

Deportes Cuatro are also reporting that Barca were told Messi has offers from Manchester City, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain but his club simply aren’t interested.

Therefore, Messi is now thinking about spending one last season at Barcelona which would also allow him to be able to say goodbye to the club and the fans properly.

Messi reportedly wants to resolve his future “as soon as possible” so he can get back to playing, and the report claims “the next few hours are vital” to the outcome of this saga.
