Dest to start at Getafe with Alba & Junior still out

A full debut for the new arrival

Sergino Dest looks set to make his full debut for Barcelona on Saturday against Getafe at left-back.

Ronald Koeman will again be without Jordi Alba and Junior Firpo for the clash as the duo have not yet recovered from hamstring injuries, according to AS.

Dest is therefore expected to get the nod at left-back. He’s already made his debut for Barca, coming on as a substitute against Sevilla, but now looks set for a first start.

It’s not the only change to the starting XI that’s expected on Saturday. Miralem Pjanic and Francisco Trincao are also being tipped to get the nod.

AS are also reporting that Koeman is thinking about resting Lionel Messi to keep him in peak condition for forthcoming games against Real Madrid and Juve.

Messi played at altitude for Argentina against Bolivia on Tuesday and is not expected back in Barca training until Thursday afternoon.
