Pedri makes surprise return to Barca training ahead
But there’s bad news on Ronald Araujo
Pedri could be set to make an incredibly quick return from injury for Barcelona and could even be in contention to start tomorrow’s Copa del Rey semi-final against Sevilla.
The midfielder was taken off in the second half of Saturday’s league win at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium and Barca subsquently confirmed he was out with a calf problem.
It had been expected Pedri might miss a couple of weeks at least but he was spotted training as normal on Tuesday ahead of the game.

Pedri’s return will be a big boost but it’s not all good news from the training ground. Ronald Araujo was not with the group and trained alone for the second day running.
The Uruguayan had been expected to be fit for Wednesday’s match but it now seems likely he may miss out again with an ankle problem
We should get an update on Pedri and Araujo shortly from Ronald Koeman at his pre-match press conference on how the duo are looking ahead of the big match.
