The defender is not expected to play again this season

Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo has reportedly suffered another injury to his left ankle which has been a problem all season.

The Uruguay international has missed chunks of the campaign because of injury and had to be taken off at half-time of Tuesday’s 3-3 draw against Levante with another problem.

According to AS, Araujo had tests after the game which “confirmed a new relapse” and is likely to keep him out of action for three weeks.

Barcelona only have two games left before the end of the campaign and it looks like we won’t see Araujo again because of the injury.

The report adds that his latest ankle sprain is a bit of a worry because it’s the third time this season he’s suffered the same injury to the same ankle.

Araujo now joins Sergi Roberto, Ansu Fati and Philippe Coutinho on the sidelines ahead of Barca’s final games against Celta Vigo and Eibar.
