Another new kit for the new season

Barcelona launched the club’s away kit for 2021-22 on Thursday ahead of the start of the new La Liga campaign.

There have already been some pictures of the kit leaked but, for those that haven’t seen, it’s a lilac number with the shirt, shorts, and socks all the same colour.

And here it is:

Barca have, as always, come up with some blurb to accompany the kit.

FC Barcelona presents its away kit for the 2021/22 season with a design that promotes women’s empowerment. Thus, it opts for purple — a fusion of blue and red, which commonly represents the fight for gender equality. The design, however, still incorporates the traditional Barça stripes on both sides. To reinforce the Club’s commitment to women’s sports, Barça adapted the originally masculine phrase of the Club’s anthem ‘Tots units fem força’ (United we are strong) and stamped the feminine version on the side of the jersey.”

And here’s another look at the kit with Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Gerard Pique taking part in the photoshoot.

Conspiracy theorists will note that a certain Antoine Griezmann doesn’t feature in the launch photos amid speculation he’s heading back to Atletico. Make of that what you will.

In the meantime let us know what you think of Barca’s latest effort, Love it? Hate it? Meh? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
