There are lots of rumors flying around

Barcelona are reportedly not currently interested in trying to sign Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang despite speculation he’s back on the club’s radar.

Reports in the UK and Spain have claimed that Barca are monitoring both Alexandre Lacazette and Aubameyang despite president Joan Laporta having announced on Monday that the club’s debts stand at €1.35bn.

There’s been talk that Barca could use Philippe Coutinho as part of a swap deal and would be willing to part-exchange the Brazilian for Aubameyang.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, reports Barca want Aubameyang are wide of the mark and the club are busy trying to offload players instead.

Ronald Koeman did say before and after Sunday’s win over Real Sociedad that he would like to sign a new striker before the close of the transfer window.

Yet it’s obvious Barca’s priority right now is to try and reduce the wage bill further with the club reportedly hoping to seal deals for Miralem Pjanic and Samuel Umtiti before the end of the month.
