Lewandowski on target for Poland in friendly win
Another goal for the attacker
Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski was among the goals again on Tuesday for Poland in a friendly against Latvia.
The Barcelona striker scored Poland’s second of the night on 48 minutes, heading home a cross from the left by Nicola Zalewski.

Lewandowski was then taken off just after the hour and given a rest by the national team.
That decision will surely have gone down well at Barcelona who are still reeling from news that Gavi will miss the rest of the season with an ACL tear.
Lewandowski will now head back to Barca to prepare for Sunday’s clash with Rayo. The striker had ended a goal drought just before the international break, scoring twice in the win over Alaves to snap a six-match run without a goal.
Poland finished the international break in third place in Group E meaning they go into the play-offs. Lewandowski and Co will face Estonia in the semi-finals in March and will be hoping they can still secure a spot in next summer’s finals in Germany.
