Young Barcelona star Marc Guiu being rested
He was not in the squad for either the first team or the B team
Marc Guiu, who had the debut any young player dreams about this season, has not featured in the squad for either FC Barcelona or Barcelona Atlètic.
The team is trying to give the youngster time to grow and rest, meaning he will not be available for Xavi or Rafa Márquez.
“It is the administrative part of the club that is managing it; it’s the coordinators who handle all this. Obviously I would like to have him available,” the Mexican coach in charge of the B team said.
Guiu recently played the FIFA U17 World Cup in Indonesia, and he’s split time with the first team, B team, and the Juvenil A team - the U19 section of the club. His next appearance could be with the Juvenil A side.
