Lamine Yamal makes more history at Euro 2024 with Spain
Another record for the collection
Barcelona star Lamine Yamal made yet more history on Saturday when he was named in the starting XI for Spain against Croatia at Euro 2024.
Yamal becomes the youngest player ever to feature at a European Championship at the age of just 16 years and 338 days.

The teenager lined up in attack along with Alvaro Morata and Nico Williams. Barcelona team-mate Pedri was also in the XI named by Luis de la Fuente.
It’s a great moment for Yamal and his family, particularly as his appearance comes on his father’s birthday.
Yamal beats the record previously held by Kacper Kozlowski who featured for Poland against Spain at the age of 17 years and 246 days and Jude Bellingham who played for England against Croatia at the age of 17 years and 349 days.
It’s also the latest addition to a growing collection of records for Yamal who has already smashed a host of landmarks since making his Barcelona debut as a 15-year-old.
