The report claims the offer is for 15 million euros with a further 5 million in performance bonuses, but there’s no indication as of now if Barça or Ferran are willing to accept the proposal as the Spanish international is currently preparing for EURO 2024 with La Roja.
Newcastle are expected to receive huge interest for forwards Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon this summer, and could be looking at Ferran as a possible replacement. But the fact Barça paid over €50 million to sign Ferran from Manchester City just a little over two years ago makes €15 million a difficult offer to stomach, but getting Ferran’s big salary off the books might be just as important to Barça, if not more, than whatever transfer fee they get for a player whose value has definitely decreased over his period as a Blaugrana.
