The captain does have offers

Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto has four clubs interested in his services as his future at the club remains unclear.

Roberto had been set to sign a one-year extension at Barca, but Xavi’s departure seems to have changed everything and a departure now looks more likely.

Relevo are reporting that there are already several clubs interested. Girona, Valencia, Sevilla and Porto have all made contact with Barcelona to check on the situation.

Barcelona are still waiting to hear if they can work under the 1:1 rule this summer and aren’t expected to do any business until that’s been clarified.

The problem for Roberto is the club have a host of other players they need to register before it comes to the veteran.

Roberto will surely be loathe to leave the club where he has spent his entire career but has previously hinted at a desire to play in the MLS before he hangs up his boots.
