Sevilla still keen on signing Marc Guiu from Barca
The attacker is a top target
Sevilla remain interested in signing Marc Guiu from Barcelona, with the club set for a summer reshuffle ahead of the new La Liga season.
The club have already asked Barcelona about Guiu and, according to Diario Sport, he remains a top summer target.
Guiu is said to be sporting director Vitor Orta’s “dream” signing but he first needs to offload a few high earners, potentially including Youssef En-Nesyri.
The other issue when it comes to signing Guiu is the fact the two clubs do not enjoy a great relationship right now.
There was friction earlier this season when Sevilla issued a statement stating their “complete outrage” at Barcelona over the Negreira refereeing scandal.
Sevilla’s directors then boycotted the league clash between the two sides at Montjuic which brought an angry backlash from the Catalans.
Of course it also remains to be seen what Guiu wants to do. He did enjoy some game time with the first team last season but it’s not clear what role Hansi Flick may have for him.
