IN PICS: Barca’s first week of pre-season training under Flick
The team are getting ready for the new campaign
Hansi Flick has been getting to know his Barcelona players over the last week or so after starting pre-season training with his new club.
The German is lacking in first-team stars right now, because of international commitments, meaning he’s been getting a chance to run the rule over many talented youngsters.

Barcelona’s new boss is also getting a chance to check on the likes of Ansu Fati, Vitor Roque, Julian Araujo and Inigo Martinez as they hope for first-team chances next season.
Flick will be boosted in the coming weeks by the return of his more established stars such as Robert Lewandowski, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Ilkay Gundogan.

He will also take charge of his first matches in the coming weeks as Barca jet out to the United States for friendlies against Real Madrid, Manchester City and Milan.
It’s then time to head home for a Gamper Trophy clash against Monaco before starting off the season at Mestalla against Valencia.
