Philogene to turn down Barca in favour of Premier League move
The winger is in demand
Barcelona look set to miss out on Hull winger Jaden Philogene as the winger is said to prefer a move to the Premier League instead.
The Catalans had been linked with a shock transfer for the Championship player, with reports even suggesting a first offer had been submitted.
Hull’s owner has also insisted the speculation that Barca want Philogene “is true” but transfer expert Fabrizio Romano thinks it’s not going to happen.
“EXCLUSIVE: Jaden Philogene’s move to Barcelona looks now complicated and unlikely as he’s giving priority to Premier League move,” he wrote on X.
“Understand three clubs have sent him proposals: Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town, Everton. Decision expected soon.”
Philogene was seen as an alternative to Barcelona’s top target Nico Williams. The Athletic Club star continues to be linked with a move to Catalunya with the latest updates stating the club are “convinced” they will have the finances needed to sign him this summer.
